STRING SYMPHONY HEADS TO BRISBANE IN 2018
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is excited to announce that their large scale work, String Symphony has been selected as part of the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) for 2018.
APAM is Australia’s leading, internationally focused industry event for contemporary performing arts. Brisbane Powerhouse is the home for APAM 2018 activities and performances, including String Symphony which will showcase on Sunday 18 & Monday 19 February on the Performance Lawn at Brisbane Powerhouse.
“It’s a privilege and honour to have a work selected to showcase at APAM as it is a peak contemporary arts markets. The creator of String Symphony, Leon Hendroff will be travelling with the work as part of our showcase, which will give festival programmers the unique opportunity to speak directly to Leon about the work” said Natalie Bell, Executive Producer.
String Symphony is a shared, enriching experience suitable for all ages that celebrates connection, community and collaboration. It offers an impressive sightline at festival and events, where the general public can discover and bring to life the giant handcrafted marionette suspended within a network of ropes.
