What is your role in Miss Lily’s Fabulous Feather Boa?

I am a performer in Miss Lily’s Fabulous Feather Boa and I play Koala Kid and Wombat Dad.

How did you get started in the performing arts?

I started my acting journey after high school and started with short acting courses I searched on the internet. I then, transitioned to studying full time at Curtin University studying Theatre Arts.

What has been your favourite job so far and why?

My favourite acting job is my last assignment at WAAPA, where we needed to get a scene for our showreel and I wrote a scene on a story that I wanted to talk about, which I felt was important and I remember seeing it for the first time and feeling accomplished.

Do you have a lucky charm like the feather boa, what is it?

I have a pair of Air Jordan 1’s that has a hang tag with a quote from Michael Jordan that says “Fears like limits are often an illusion,”  which I think is a great way to mindset to be in when approaching auditions/projects.

Did you have a favourite picture book or story as a child and can you tell us why you liked it?

I loved watching Pokemon when I was younger. The story of Ash, pursuing his dream to be a Pokemon Master and his journey towards his goal was inspiring. It’s honestly how I try to live my life to this day, surrounding myself with people who help me get closer to my goal, whether it’s supporting me creatively or personally.

Has there been someone like Miss Lily in your life and who were they?

I am lucky to have had many Miss Lily’s in my life. They have all guided me in many aspects of my life. From my mother, to teachers and friends, they have all inspired me, pushed me to be the best version of myself as well as the best artist I can be.
