What is your role in Miss Lily’s Fabulous Feather Boa?
Lighting Designer
I did drama in high school and really enjoyed it. After that I studied Performance Studies at Curtin University, doing as many shows as I could and working all the different roles, including lighting, stage management, performing and directing. Lighting was one of the things I loved the most and I went on to study it at WAAPA.
What has been your favourite job so far and why?
Touring a circus show to the Indian Ocean Territories – Christmas Island and Cocos Islands are such beautiful places with amazing animals, and probably somewhere I wouldn’t otherwise have had the opportunity to visit.
Do you have a lucky charm like the feather boa, what is it?
I don’t have a lucky charm, but I always feel more fabulous when I’m wearing a pair of big, colourful earrings from my large collection.
Did you have a favourite picture book or story as a child and can you tell us why you liked it?
I was a very keen reader as a child, so I loved Matilda – the first chapter is called “The Reader of Books” and that had me hooked immediately.
