CHILDREN learnt to make puppets at a Kingsley workshop recently.
The Meerilinga Children and Family Centre hosted a Spare Parts Puppet Theatre workshop on October 26, which coincided with Children’s Week.
The State Government provided $23,000 in grants to support events in regional WA and at Meerilinga’s six metropolitan centres.
Community Services Minister Paul Miles said the grants enabled children and their families across the State to take part in Children’s Week celebrations.
“Children’s Week is a chance for communities to get involved in a variety of activities to facilitate, support and encourage children and their families to play, learn and grow together,” he said.
“Meerilinga has been the convener of Children’s Week in WA for the past three decades.”
