To mark Hachiko Day on Saturday April 8, Spare Parts is thrilled to have a special visit from Akita expert, Charlie and his three Akita dogs. Charlie and the dogs will be here to meet our audience members attending the 10am and 1pm performances of Hachiko.
Every year this special day celebrates the remarkable loyalty that Hachiko showed while waiting every day for nine years for his owner to return. Hachiko was an Akita dog and three of these magnificent looking and very gentle dogs will be waiting for you in the park next to the theatre. It’s a perfect opportunity to take a souvenir selfie photo with them and celebrate the love and loyalty that animals bring to our lives.
